MASSILLON, Ohio – Wayne I. Marshall, 76, of Bermuda Street, N.W., died at 4:55 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2004, at the Massillon Community Hospital following a brief illness.
Born in Chester June 17, 1927, son of the late Acey and Edna Allen Marshall, he was a member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1945.
Having served with the U. S. Army during World War II, he lived most of his life in East Liverpool before moving to Massillon in 1983.
He retired from the former Crucible Steel Mill in 1982 after 36 years of service.
While in Massillon, he was a member of the American Legion.
His wife, Phyllis Burns Marshall, whom he married Feb. 21, 1954, survives at home.
Two sisters, Lois McCord and Mrs. Donald (Eleanor) Carman, both of Lisbon, also survive along with several nieces and nephews.
Friends m ay call Friday at the Dawson Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Pastor Thomas Fryman of the Cornerstone Baptist Church of Massillon will conduct services at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
Immediately following burial, family and friends will gather in fellowship at the Dawson Family Center.
