EAST PALESTINE – Paul W. Shaw, 88, formerly of East Martin Street, passed away at 2:10 a.m. Friday at the Parkside Health Care Center, where he has resided for the past four years.
Born Feb. 18, 1925, in Negley, he was a son of the late Carl R. and Gladys Huston Shaw. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed with Magneco Metrel, Negley. He was a U. S. Army Air Corp veteran, having served during World War II.
He was a member of the First Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, the former M. Helen Hutchison; two daughters, Bonnie Reesh, an Paula Jurjavcic, both of East Palestine; four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at noon Monday, June 10, at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mark McTrustry of the Centenary United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the time of service.
