A Well Known Man Dead.
Andrew Allison, aged 72 years, died at his late home near Pughtown Saturday evening about 8 o’clock. Deceased has been ill for some time, death resulting from dropsy. The funeral was held this afternoon at 2 o’clock, interment being made in the cemetery at Pughtown. Deceased was well known in this city, and a number of people left this morning to attend the funeral.

Andrew Allison Dead.
Well-Known Residents of Hancock County Passes Away.
Andrew Allison, one of the best know residents of Hancock county, W.Va., died at his home near Fairview, Saturday, of heart failure and dropsy, aged 76 years. Deceased was born in Hancock county. He has been an invalid for several years. Surviving is a wife and four daughters, namely: Mrs. Alex. Needham and Mrs. Melinda Cooper, of East Liverpool; Mrs. George Pugh, of New Cumberland, and Mrs. James Lyons, who resides at the family home. Deceased was a member of the Asbury chapel. His funeral was held this morning; burial at the Flats cemetery, Fairview.
NOTE:
Second obit incorrectly lists ‘Melinda Cooper’, should be Malinda Cooley. Andrew’s tombstone is either destroyed or missing as it has not yet been located. Father of the only known Allison triplets in the family.
