Obituary – James Atkinson

James Atkinson, a telegraph operator at Dry Run, died at 1:30 Sunday morning (December 17, 1905) at the home of William Wolf, in Chafinville alley, after an illness of 30 days of typhoid fever. He was aged 21 and came here from Parkersburg, W. Va., about two months ago. The remains will be taken to Parkersburg by the boy’s father who was called here before he died. The parents and one brother and two sisters survive.
The body will be placed aboard the steamer Ben Hur this evening and taken to the deceased’s former home for burial.
