MIDLAND — Services are scheduled Thursday for Alfred Cornelius Austin, 79, of Corak Towers, Midland, who died Monday at the Beaver Medical Center following a brief illnes.
He was born March 29, 1908, in McDonald, Pa., a son of the late Rev. S. J. Sustin and Mrs. Wilma Lewis Austin.
Mr. Austin was a retired employee of the cake plant department at the former Crucible Steel Co. He was a member of the Mount Olive Baptist Church and a life member of Magnet City Elks Lodge 849.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Beverly Ann Broadie of Vanport, Mrs. Harold (Donna M.) Hubbard of Rochester and Miss Shawwnaa M. Austin of Carswell Air Force Base at Fort Worth, Texas, three sisters, Mrs. Robert (Maxine) Washington and Mrs. Thelma Williford of Beaver Falls and Mrs. Charles (Geraldine) Grigsby of Pittsburg; a brother, Harry M. Austin of Midland, and seven grandchildren.
The Rev. Allen Middleton of the church is to conduct the services at 11 a.m. at the Will Leavell Funeral Home. Burial is to be in Beaver Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.
