Obituary – Miss Teresa Davies

Miss Teresa Davies, aged 74, died last evening (June 18, 1912) at 6 o’clock at the City Hospital after a two weeks’ suffering of pneumonia. She had been ill for some time but gradually grew worse and on last Friday was removed from her home on the rear of Basil avenue to the hospital where she continued to grow worse until the time of her death.

Miss Davies was born in 1838 in Wittenberg, Germany and came to this country at the age of 20 and has resided here ever since.

She was a home loving woman kind and of a gentle disposition. Was constant and ever faithful to her church.

Mrs. Adolph Fritz, a sister-in-law is the nearest relative that Miss Davies had in this country.

The body was removed last evening to the home of her niece, Mrs. Charles Berg, 514 Jefferson street from where the remains may be viewed form 7 to 10 o’clock this evening.

The funeral will take place at 9 o’clock Thursday morning at the St. Aloysius Church Father Cummins officiating. Interment will be made in the St. Aloysius cemetery.
