Job Davis

Job Davis, aged 58 years, died at his home between Calcutta and Fredericktown at 1 o’clock Sunday morning. Deceased was a veteran of the civil war and was a member of the Grand Army post at Fredericktown until the disbandonment of the post. He was suffering with stomach trouble for several years, from which disease he finally died.

Deceased is survived by a wife and three children – Mrs. Clever Woolen, who resides on a farm adjoining the homestead; Thomas, of Pittsburg, and James, who lived with his parents. Rev. Mansell, pastor of the Christian church of this city, officiated at the funeral from the Davis home on Tuesday. Interment was made at Riverview cemetery.
