Miss Nell F. Dawson, retired East Liverpool school teacher, died Sunday at 11 p.m. in the home of her brother, Dr. Ralph N. Dawson, in Detroit, following a long illness. Miss Dawson was born in Smiths Ferry and spent most of her life in East Liverpool. Her father conducted a cooperage business here. She lived on Highland Ave. until going to Detroit nine years ago. She taught school here for more than 25 years. Miss Dawson was a member of the First Methodist Church and was active as a teacher and in missionary society work. She was an honorary member of the Bible Literary Society. She leaves a sister, Mrs. Jessie Morris in Toledo, and several nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held in Detroit this afternoon. The body will be brought to the Martin Funeral Home Wednesday for services Thursday at 2 p.m. by Rev. Stanley H. Mullen. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 3 to 4:30 and from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
