Mrs. Phoebe Dawson, known to her friends as “Aunt Phoebe,” aged 85, died yesterday (March 21, 1912) morning at the home of her son, George Dawson of Hookstown, of the infirmities of old age, after being ill for over a year.

She was well known to everybody of the community and was one of the pioneers of Beaver County.

Four sons survive: George D., of Hookstown; Avery, of this city; Frank, of Hookstown, and Jasper, of Georgetown. Fifteen grandchildren also survive. Her husband died 20 years ago.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon at Georgetown M. E. Church.
