Ersel T. DeLauder

WELLSVILLE – Ersel T. DeLauder, 81, of Hillcrest Road, died at 1:45 a.m. Sunday , July 14, 2992, at East Liverpool City Hospital.

He was born in Belington, W.Va., Oct. 2, 1920, the son of the late George and Anice Hill DeLauder. Ersel worked as a rigger for the former Crucible Steel in Midland for 42 years until his retiremane in 1982. He was a member of the ‘first Christian Church in Wellsville as well as the Southern Ruritans, Yellow Creek Grange, and the Wellsville Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Grace Henthorne DeLauder, whom he married July 3, 1945; a daughter, Beth Bonifate and her husband Mike of Wellsville; A son, Thomas DeLauder and his wife Barbara of Palm Bay, Fla.; two brothers, Kenneth L. DeLauder of Wellsville and Reginald DeLauder of Lisbon; two granddaughters, Tammi Phillips and her husband Mike of Lisbon and Michelle Jones and her husband Kenneth of Everett, Wash.; a grandson Thomas DeLauder Jr, of Wellsville; a great-grandson, Michael Philllips Jr. of Lisbon; and two great-granddaughters, Allyssa Phillips of Lisbon and Helena Ann Jones of Everett, Wash.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Sheets, and a brother Dorman DeLauder.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Christian Church of Wellsville with the Rev. Howard Chartier officiating. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery in Wellsville.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville.
