DRIZMALA, Henry M., 88, of Weirton, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2008, in the Weirton Medical Center.

Born March 21, 1919, in Weirton, he was the son of the late Andrew and Sophie Haber Drzymala.

With 43 years of service, Henry retired from Weirton Steel, where he worked as a supervisor in the Mechanical Department of the Tin Mill. He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church; WSX 25-Year Club; American Legion Post 10; AARP; Three Score Seniors; Four Seasons Senior Citizens; and FOPA. Henry was a minor league baseball player, having played for the Brooklyn Dodgers. He was an avid bowler and gardener. He served in the US Navy during World War II.

In addition to his parents, Henry was also preceded in death by his wife, Laura Warszynski Drizmala, on December 17, 1991; brother, Edward Drzymala; and sisters, Helen Drzymala and Stephanie Bowling.

He is survived by his son, Thomas and his wife, Luanne; daughters, Linda Romitti and her husband, Tom, all of Weirton, and Janice Boni and her husband, Mario, of Follansbee, W.Va.; sisters, Laura Czech of Canton, Ohio, and Valerie Gabriel and Marie Rumics both of California; and grandchildren, Andrew Romitti, Mario Boni and Mary Green.

Friends will be received Friday from 3-8 p.m., at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton.

Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m., Saturday, at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. The Reverend Father Larry Dorsch will officiate.

Entombment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, where Military Services will be conducted by the American Legion Firing Squad.
