CHESTER – Elaine Eckleberry, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2014, at the East Liverpool City Hospital. Born Sept. 15, 1930, in Goshen, Ind., Elaine was a daughter of the late Louis Long and Ira (Red)Vera Moore. She was also preceded in death by her husband Ronald Eckleberry.
She was a bank teller for 12 years at the Hancock County Savings Bank. A member of the Newell Methodist Church, 500 Club and The Newell Women’s Club.
Elaine was a loving, devoted and inspiring mother and grandmother. One of her greatest joys in life was spending time with her grandchildren; she will long be remembered for her insightfulness, wisdom, grace and kindness.
She is survived by her sons, Randall (Royce), Mark (Gaylene) and Dan (Tammy) Eckleberry all of Chester; daughters, Denise Lamp and Tami (Paul) Koper both of Newell; brothers, David (Nancy) Moore of Cincinnati and Ted (Susan) Long of California; sister, Yvonne (Bill) Triplett of New Manchester; and she will be greatly missed by her 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday 2-8 p.m. at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Dave Willey will officiate the service.
Interment will be in Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens.
