EAST PALESTINE – Rita M. Felger, 84, of Everett Street, passed away at 11:09 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013, at the Salem Community Hospital, where she had been a patient for the past several days.

She was born June 8, 1928 in Sebring, a daughter of the late Thomas J. and Jessie M. Miller Naughton, Sr.

She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church.

Mrs. Felger was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Felger and a son, George E. Felger, Jr.

She is survived by five daughters, Debra and Connie D. Felger, both at home, Pamela K. Kraus, Paula L. Richard and Tina L. Freeman, all of East Palestine; three sons, Alan M. Felger of Salem; Scott D. Felger of Poland and Paul Q. Felger of Princeton, W.Va.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 23 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, with Rev. Stephen Wassie, serving as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Oliver-Linsley funeral home.
