Adeline Francona, 92, of Aliquippa, passed away Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, in Rochester Manor.
Born June 30, 1920, in West Aliquippa, she was a daughter of the late Luigi and Angeline (Contenta) Antonucci. Mrs. Francona was a member of St. Titus Catholic Church in Aliquippa and St. Titus Confraternity of Christian Mothers. She retired from the housekeeping department of Aliquippa Hospital with 13 years of service.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Francona, in 1967; a son, Patsy Francona; a brother, Guy Antonucci; two sisters, Anna Ramunno and Mary Schiavi, and a stepbrother, Amerigo Frantageli.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Johnetta Francona of New Brighton, Louis and Jeanette Francona of Center Twp., nine grandchildren, John Jr. (Sue) Francona, Christopher (Susan) Francona, Jeffrey (Melissa) Francona, Denise (Scott) Macek, Tammy Francona, Debbie Gregos, Kelly Hall, Candace Francona and Jason Francona; many loving great-grandchildren, and a devoted niece, Marie Bertoni of Hopewell Twp.
Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the TATALOVICH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES INC., 2205 McMinn Street, Aliquippa, http://www.tatalovichfuneralhome.com, where a service will be held Monday at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Titus Catholic Church, Aliquippa, with Father Paul Householder, her pastor, officiating.
Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Hopewell Twp.
