Virginia Irene Freshwater, 84, of Serra Manor, Weirton, passed away Thursday September 1, 2011 at Weirton Medical Center.
She was born March 18, 1927, in Weirton, a daughter, of the late Ralph & Hilda (Wakefield) Patrick. She was also preceded in death by her husband Gerald Robert Freshwater (2005) and her brother Ralph Patrick, Jr.
Virginia retired as an office worker from Weriton General Hospital and was Protestant by faith.
Surviving are nieces and nephews; Gary (Mary Kay) Cunningham of Chester; John (Becky) Patterson of Windcrest, TX; Ron (Linda) Patrick of Weirton; John (Vicki) Patrick of Weirton; Dotti (Dave) Stewart of Weirton; Peggy Grisham & Brittaney Ann Cole of Weirton along with many great and great-great nieces and nephews
Services were held Monday, September 5, 2011 at the Turley Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Fr. J. Jeffrey Baker officiated.
Interment followed at the New Cumberland Cemetery.
