SHANER GOVEY DIES AT HOME
Well Known Farmer Succumbs to Brief Illness, Aged 46.
Shaner Govey, a farmer of Grant district, died at 9:05 o’clock Wednesday evening (December 26, 1911) of typhoid pneumonia after about three weeks’ illness, aged 46 years.
He is survived by his wife and two children, Carrie and Sarah, at home and one son, Wilby, living in Montana, besides four sisters, Mrs. Hugh T. Johnson, of Glasgow, O.; Mrs. R. A. Orin, of East Liverpool, O.; Mrs. Joseph Gilmore, of Oak Run, W. Va.; Mrs. Hannah Govey, of East Liverpool, O.
He was born in Hancock county in 1865 and has lived for a number of years on the farm which he now owns, and where he died, near the Washington School, Grant district.
Word was received yesterday afternoon from Wilby Govey, of Montana, stating that it would be impossible for him to attend the funeral.
The funeral will be held at the home Saturday at 10 o’clock a.m., Rev. J. W. Dunbar, of the Presbyterian church, Chester, and Rev. A. E. Hubbard, of the Presbyterian church, Fairview, will conduct the services.
Interment will be made at the Flats cemetery, Fairview.
