SEBRING – Mrs. Emma M. Gray, 86, of Copeland Oaks died Saturday at 1:55 p.m. at the Cranadall Medical Center following a short illness
She was born June 2, 1900, in Punxsutawney, Pa., a daughter of the late John Morey and LuRilla Pifer Morey. She had resided at Copeland Oaks since 1977, coming from East Palestine.
Mrs. Gray was a decorator at the former W. S. George Pottery in East Palestine, and many years ago was a packer at the N, & W. Manufacturing Co. of East Palestine.
he was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church of East Palestine and the East Palestine Chapter 381, Order of the Eastern Star, and a 50-year member of the Eureka Rebekah Lodge 756 of East Palestine.
Her husband, Edmund J. Gray, whom she married Sept. 12, 1923, died in 1946.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ruth M. Walter of Alliance, Mrs. Edward (Jane) Bucher of Clarksville, Ten., and Mrs. Eugene (Edna) Lambright of Newport, N.C.; a brother, Paul A. Morey of East Palestine; seven grandchildren and even great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Van Dyke-Swaney Funeral Home in East Palestine with the Rev. Dr. Barry M. Walker of the church officiating. Burial will be in Glenview Cemetery in East Palestine.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
