Harvey Arthur Green, district resident for 50 years and a contractor for more than half a century, died Monday afternoon at his home at 118 East Pine St. after a brief illness. He was 79. Mr. Green, who held an honorary membership in the Carpenters’ local 1288 was born March 3 at Fredericktown, the son of Arthur Harvey Green and Isabelle McFarland Green. He was married to Rebecca Patterson, who survives as do two sons, Ralph H. Green of Lisbon and Harold L. Green of Salem; three daughters, Mrs. James Shattuck and Miss Geneva Green of Lisbon and Mrs. George Gould of Cleveland; five brothers, Charles Green, Bert Green, Harry Green, and Clem Green of Fredericktown and Robert Green of East Palestine; a sister, Mrs. Mary Daily of Fredericktown, and three grandchildren. Services will be held at the late home Thursday afternoon at 2 by Rev. J. Morgan Cox of the Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow in Lisbon cemetery. Friends may call at the residence Wednesday night between 7 and 9.
