Obituary – Thomas Grimes

Thomas Grimes died at 6 o’clock last evening (June 11, 1911) at his home on First street form a complication of diseases aged 63 years. The deceased had resided in Chester for seven years, during a greater part of which time he was employed as a watchman at the Chester plant of the American Sheet & Tin Plate company. Besides his wife Mr. Grimes is survived by four children, Charles, Benjamin, Maud and Edith, all of Chester. He was a good citizen and a kind and indulgent husband and father. Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock tomorrow afternoon from the home, Rev. Mr. Huffer, pastor of the First Christian church, officiating. Interment will be made in Locust Hill cemetery.
