WEIRTON – Matthew Guzzetta, 73, of 122 Wilkens Ave, a continuous anneal inspector at Weirton Steel Corp. until his retirement, died Jan. 13, 1992, in Weirton Medical Center.
He was Catholic by faith and a member of Weirton Steel 25-Year Club.
Surviving are his wife, Alberta Balon Ferrari Guzzetta; three sons, Joseph of Utica, N.Y., Matthew of Tewksbury, Mass., and Patrolman James Guzzetta of Weirton; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (JoAnne) Matthews of New Cumberland; three brothers, Alfred of Steubenville and Dominic and Albert, both of Weirton; a sister, Josephine Guzzetta of Weirton; eight grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, one great-grandson and one great-stepgrandson.
He was born May 3, 1918, in Rochester, N.Y., a son of the late Joseph and Josephine Trovata Guzzetta. He also was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
