Accountant At Salem
China Firm Dies At 43

SALINEVILLE – Walker D. Irvine, 12 McKinley Ave., an accountant at the Salem China Co., died Monday (March 27, 1961) at 10 p. m. of a heart attack at Mercy Hospital in Canton. He was 43.

He was admitted to the hospital 12 hours previously.

Mr. Irvine was a member of the Calvary United Presbyterian Church and superintendent of its Sunday School. He was an institutional representative for the past 20 years on the Boy Scout commissioners staff. He was a member and past president of the Salineville Ruritan Club and The Masonic Lodge of Marlinton, W. Va.

He was born March, 18, 1913, in Marlinton, son of Fred and Florence Irvine.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ethel Irvine, and a daughter, Miss Darlene Irvine, both at home; two sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Aulderman of Knapp, N. Y., and Mrs. Minnie Heffner of Mill Point, W. Va., and six brothers, Glen Irvine of Mill Point, Paul Irvine of Marlinton, Gale Irvine of Harker’s Island, N. C., Fred Irvine of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Norman Irvine and Clyde Irvine, both of Huntington.

Services will be Thursday at 2 p. m. at the church chapel. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery. Friends may call tonight and Wednesday afternoon and evening at the Kerr Funeral Home.
