Roy E. Justice, 84, of Irish Ridge Road, East Liverpool, died at home at 11:20 p.m. Sunday following a long illness.
He was born Nov. 24, 1901, in New Matamoras, Ohio, a son of the late Frank P. Justice and Alice Lucinda Slack Justice.
Mr. Justice was a quality control inspector for the government for 32 years, and was involved with the Polaris and Poseidon missile projects.
He was a longtime member of the Anderson United Methodist Church where he was a member of the official board for many years, a former Sunday school superintendent and choir director. He also was in charge of the Methodist Youth Fellowship 12 years, and was a member of the building committee when the church was relocated from W. Ninth St. to Calcutta.
He is survived by his wife, Elsie M. Justice, at home; four daughters, Mrs. John (Marjorie) Fickle and Mrs. Arhtur (Thelma) Grossen of East Liverpool, Mrs. Thomas (Alice Janet) Schoor of Lancaster, Ohio, and Mrs. William (Lois) Guy of Aurora, Ohio; three stepsons, Paul R. Harvey of East Liverpool, Richard C. Harvey of Upland, Calif., and Donald Harvey of Boston, Mass.; a sister, Mrs. Edith M. Cole pf East Liverpool; 35 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services are planned at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Dawson Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Standley officiating.
Burial is to be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday afternoon and evening.
The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the church.
