Daniel T. Karas, 55, of Baden, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012, in his home.

Born Feb. 11, 1957, in Sewickley, a son of George T. Karas, Baden, and the late Albena E. Karas. He was employed by Pittsburgh Airmail Facility and was a member of the Good Samaritan Church, the Ambridge Sportsman’s Club, the D.A.V., and was a U.S. Navy Vietnam Veteran.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Darla M. Kincaid Karas; two daughters and a son-in-law, Desiree Karas and her fiancé, Jason Vanyo, Baden and Darcey and Joe Sowinski, New Sewickley Township; one grandson, Hunter Vanyo, Baden; two brothers, David Karas and his fiancé, Sue Shelkons, Industry, and Bruce Karas and his fiancée, Diane Posipanko, New Brighton; one sister, Karen Sue Brocklebank, Baden; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mark and Marilyn Kincaid, Baden, and many nieces, nephews and friends who meant the world to him.

Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, where a service will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 9:30 a.m. in the Good Samaritan Church.

Interment will follow in the Good Samaritan Cemetery.

The Beaver County Special Unit will meet at 10:30 a.m. at the cemetery to provide full military honors.
