Obituary – Mrs. Nancy Kinney

Mrs. Nancy Kinney, aged 86 years, one of East End’s most aged and highly respected citizens, was called by death at her home on Pennsylvania avenue, at 1 o’clock Thursday afternoon (May 25, 1911), following an illness of about five months. Deceased fell dislocating her hip, early last January, and sine that time has been unable to leave her bed.
Mrs. Kinney was born May 30, 1825, at Washington, Pa., one of a family of 12 children. At the age of three years, she removed with her parents to this vicinity and has resided here ever since. Her life here has been such that every one speaks in the highest terms of her. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. M. A. Hamilton of this city and a sister, Mrs. Katherine Spivey of Fairview, W. Va. She is also survived by a nephew, William Kinney of St. George street.
Funeral services will be held from the late home this morning at 9 o’clock, Rev. L. B. Lewellyn, of the Second Presbyterian church officiating. Interment will be made in Wellsville cemetery.
