Mrs. Annie Kuppinger, 70 of 241 Fifth Avenue, Freedom, died in Rochester General Hospital, Tuesday (July 14, 1942), after a lingering illness. Born in Tarentum, PA on May 9, 1872, she was the daughter of the late George C. and Mary Ann Evans Pierce. She had resided for 35 years in Freedom and was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. Surviving are her husband, Philip Kuppinger; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Danver of Springdale, Mrs. Karl Whiteleather of Rochester, Mrs. Walter Moss of Freedom and Mrs. Charles Dockter of Monaca; three sons, Ernest Koehler, Clifford Koehler of Tarentum and Fred Kuppinger of Freedom; three brothers, John Pierce of Cincinnati, James Pierce of Glassmere and Robert Pierce of Tarentum; 17 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Freedom.
