Obituary – Mrs. Sarah D. Lamborn

Mrs. Sarah D. Lamborn, aged 54 years, died at her home on Jefferson street near Second at 1:35 o’clock yesterday afternoon (January 4, 1904). She had been afflicted for several months with an abscess of the jaw, which would not yield to treatment. Those at her bedside were aware that she could not recover, though the end came sooner than they expected. She was the daughter of the venerable William Scadden who now resides with her daughter, Mrs. Rees Marshall in Chester. Though born in Meigs county she spent the greater part of her life in this county. For the past 22 years she resided in this city. Her husband died 5 years ago.
Besides her father the deceases is survived by the following children: Mrs. Res Marshall of Chester; William, Elwood L., Clement, Clarissa, Vanie, Alva M., the last four named having lived with her. To these children the loss is one which will evoke the sympathy of all in the hour of their bereavement.
The funeral services will be held at 3 o’clock tomorrow. Interment in Riverview cemetery.
