Obituary – Jerry Lanning

Jerry Lanning, aged 48 years, died at his late home, 307 Ridgeway avenue, at 6:45 o’clock last evening, (January 1, 1912) following an illness of a complication of diseases from which he has been suffering for the past eighteen months.
Deceased, who has been a resident of this city for the past twenty years, was born in New Athens, O., coming to this city when 28 years of age. In 1888 he was untied in marriage with Miss Belle Snodgrass of Steubenville, the couple taking up their residence here. Up until he time of taking sick, Mr. Lanning was employed as a kiln place in the local potteries. He was affiliated with several musical organizations.
Besides his wife, deceases is survived by four sons and one daughter, Jerry, Don, George and Norman, and Miss May, all at home. He is also survived by three brothers and one sister, Swaze Lanning, of Cadis, O.; Will Lanning, of Hopedale, O.; Steele Lanning of Chicago, Ill,. And Mrs. Rev. W. A. Williams, of Philadelphia, Pa.
No funeral arrangements have as yet been made.
