LOY, Matthew W., 54 of Follansbee, WV, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2013, with complications of COPD at Brightwood Center, Follansbee, WV.
Matthew was born on November 20, 1958, in Wheeling, WV. He was the son of the late Wayne G. and Constance L. (Churchman) Loy.
Many will remember Matthew from the mid 1970s with the little league and pony baseball of Follansbee. He was known as one of the fastest pitchers and also by pitching no hitter games. Little League Baseball in Follansbee and the area was changed forever by his pitching.
Matthew is survived by his brother, Richard “Bruce” (Eva) Loy of Follansbee, WV.
A private family viewing and interment was held.
