Chester Postmaster’s son Dies in Indiana
Hugh B. Lynch Jr., 36, son of Postmaster and Mrs. Hugh B. Lynch of Chester, died suddenly Wednesday at 5 a.m. in his home in Zionsville, Ind.
Mr. Lynch had been in poor health for the last 17 months but his illness did not prevent him from continuing his work as a salesman for the Jessup Steel Co. of Washington, Pa. He had resided in Zionsville since last February.
He was born in Chester, where he spent most of his life. He was a graduate of Chester High School and Ohio University. He was with the Carnegie-Illinois Steel Co. for many years before going to the Jessup Co. Mr. Lynch was a member of the Chester Presbyterian Church.
He leaves his widow, Mrs. Louise McIntyre Lynch, and two sons, Michael O. Lynch 13, and Stephen H. Lynch, 10, at home, and a sister Mrs. Don Richardson of Lisbon.
The body will arrive today at the parents home on Indiana Ave., where rites will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. by Rev. C. T. Weimer of the Chester Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Lisbon Cemetery. Friends may call at the Lynch home Friday from 7 to 10 p.m.
