MRS. ETHEL VIRGINIA PALM, 75, formerly of the Wellsville rural area, died Monday at 6 p.m. at the Dailey Boarding Home near Negley, where she had been a patient four years.
An area resident some 30 years, Mrs. Palm was born Oct. 14, in Parkersburg W. Va., a daughter of William Shuman and Bessie Uhl Shuman.
While residing in the Wellsville area, Mrs. Palm was a foster parent, having raised more than 45 children, including three of her own grandchildren.
She wasa member of the Prichard Ave. Church of Christ in Lisbon, and a former member of the Trinity Friends church and the Oak Ridge United Presbyterian Church in Wellsville, having served as it organist and a member of its Missionary society.
Survivors include a son, William M. Palm of New Waterford, a sister, Mrs Clarence (Anna) Bentz of Wellsville, and three grandchildren, whom she raised, Mike C. Palm of Lisbon, Miss Cathy Palm of Columbiana and Mrs Ronald (Cindy Hooker of New Waterford.
Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. from the MacLean Funeral Home, Wellsville. Burial will be in the Oak Ridge United Presbyterian Church Cemeteruy.
Friends may all at the funeral home Wednesday afternoon and night with the family present 2 to 4 and 7 t0 9 p.m.
