William T. Parsons, 84, of 612 3rd St., Chester, died Tuesday (July 7, 1970) at 7 a. m., at City Hospital following a lingering illness.

A native of England, he was born Nov. 30, 1886, a son of the late George W. and Cora Russell Parsons. He moved to the United States in 1898 and to Chester in 1906. He was a retired production manager at the Taylor, Smith and Taylor Co. He was a member of the Christian Businessmen’s Committee, Masonic Lodge 142, a charter member of the Chester Kiwanis Club and a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, where he was an elder for 50 years and a superintendent for 40 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Ada B. Parsons, Jan. 16, 1965.

Survivors include three sons, Earl Parsons of Chester, Robert Parsons of Phoenix, Ariz., and Alan Parsons of Lorain, Ohio, and five grandchildren.

Services will be held Thursday at 10 a. m. at the Riverview Cemetery Chapel, with the Rev. Donald Bell officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
