Sun City Center, Fla. – H. Bartine Bartley Pike, 87, of Glendower Circle died at 10:05 a.m. Sunday, March 1, 2009, at the Sun City Center Hospice House following a lengthy illness. Born March 2, 1921, in Yale, Oklahoma, she was a daughter of the late Ethan Clair and Margaret Ellen Bartley. She retired at age 72 from her job as manager of the Mariner Beach Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank L. “Larry” Pike. Surviving are a daughter, Leslie Tedesco of Rocky Hill, Conn., and a son, Jerry Robert Pike of Fountain, Col. There are two grandchildren, Lisa Maurer of Rye, N.Y., and Michael Tedesco and his wife, Claudia, of Menlo Park, Calif. There are four great-grandchildren, Brittany and Taylor Maurer and Kira and Kaylie Tedesco. Along with several nieces and nephews. Also preceding her in death were two sisters, Eileen Walker and Betty Varner, and three brothers, Lewis Oliver “Ollie” Bartley, George C. Bartley and Harry Bartley. The Rev. Katrina Lewis of Westminster Presbyterian Church is to conduct a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 14, at the Dawson Funeral Home, where friends may call one hour prior. Burial is to be in Mill Creek Hill Cemetery in Hookstown, Pa.
