WELLSVILLE – Charles A. “Chuck” Potts, 77, of Wellsville, died Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014, at home following a lengthy illness.

Born July 15, 1936, in Clinton, Pa., he was the son of the late Robert Earl and Laura (Pritchard) Potts.

Mr. Potts was a teacher for Cross City Correctional Institute in Florida. He had been a police officer in Wellsville.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia (Cipolloni) Potts; three daughters; Debra Kay Stangland of Cross City, Fla., Shawna Schall of St. Petersburgh, Fla., and Cara T. Monaghan of Old Town, Fla.; four sons: Jeffrey Potts of California, Thomas Tippins of Old Town, Fla., Allen Tippins of St. Petersburgh, Fla., and David Tippins of Old Town, Fla.; 14 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

It was Mr. Potts wishes that no visitation or service be observed.

The Roberts Funeral Home, Wellsville, was entrusted with his care.
