Mrs. A. G. Pugh
Mrs. A. G. Pugh, one of the oldest and best known resident of Chester, died Friday night at 11:55 o’clock, aged 73 years. Mrs. Pugh was born in Beaver county, Pa., where she resided until her marriage, after which she moved to Fairview, W. Va.
After several years residence in Fairview she and her husband moved to Illinois, but their stay there w as of short duration as they soon returned to Hancock county and settled on a farm some 3 miles from town where they lived until about three years ago when they moved to Chester into the home where she died. Mrs. Pugh leaves a husband and four children, James who is married and lives in Chester; Jesse Pugh, who is unmarried and has been making his home with his parents; Mrs. John Wells, of Carolina avenue, Chester, and Mrs. Joseph Bailey, of East Liverpool. The funeral sermon will be preached by Rev. Mr. Hosick, of Hookstown, in the M. E. church at 1 o’clock today. Rev. H. M. Carnahan, Rev. B. M. Gillis, of Chester, Rev. N. M. Crowe, East End, and Rev. Mr. Green, of Fairview, will assist.
