EAST LIVERPOOL – John H. Quick, 77, of Princeton Avenue died suddenly at 10:45 a.m. Monday, Jan. 23, 2006, at his home.
Born in East Liverpool Jan. 12, 1929, son of the late John W. and Verla Seevers Quick, he lived most of his life in East Liverpool except for 21 years spent in Davenport, Fla.
He worked at the former Crucible Steel Mill for 34 years as a steel tester before moving to Florida where he worked for Walt Disney World Golf Operations.
His wife, Ruth L. Brewer Quick, whom he married March 8, 1947, died June 9, 2002.
Two daughters, Linda L. Payne and her husband, Mike, of East Liverpool and Jeanne Denssmore and her husband, Thomas of Kissimmee, Fla., survive.
Thre are seven grandchildren, Michelle Raybuck of East Liverpool, Melissa Klein of Rogers, Michael and Matthew Payne of Davenport, Fla., Mark Payne of Cocoa Beach, Fla., Thomas Densmore and Kelley ‘Vergonof Kissimme, Fla.
Fourteen great grandchildren, Steven, Joshua, and Tyler Raybuck, Shase, Connor and Carly Klein, Michael, Rachael and Draven Payne, and Jessica, Jason, Justin, Jacob and Brandon Payne, also survive.
A sister, Shelba Boggess, of Atlanta, Ga., survives as well.
Friends may call Wednesday at the Dawson Funeral Home, where the family will be present form 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thjursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery.
