EAST LIVERPOOL –,Alex “Eck” Quinn, 80, of Valley Avenue, died at 8:30 p.m. Friday, October 17, 1997, at home following a sudden illness.
He was born in Smithfield, W. Va., Sept. 17, 1917, a son of the late Alex and Martha Curtis Quinn. An area resident most of his life, he was employed 33 years at the former Crucible Steel Co., retiring in 1981. He was a member of American Legion Post 374.
He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. William (Linda) Tullis and Janet Dowd of East Liverpool, Mrs. Dan (Sherry) Creamer of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Mrs. Clarence (Rosemary) Grimm of Naples, Fla.; three sons, Chuck Quinn and Dave Quinn of East Liverpool and Steve Quinn of E. Paso, Texas; a sister, Hazel Morola of Midland; a brother, Woodrow Quinn of East Liverpool; 20 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
The Rev. Charles Parry will conduct services at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Dawson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 today.
