Mrs. Esther M. Reed, 68, of Louisiana Ave., Chester, died this morning at 8:30 at City Hospital where she was taken after suffering an apparent heart attack earlier at home. She was born in Hancock County June 5, 1918, a daughter of the late Charles W. Hutton and Bertha Fowler Hutton. A retired employee of the National Church Envelope Co., she was a member of the First United Methodist Women. She is survived by her husband, Raymond Reed, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Jack (Lynda) Reynolds of Chester and Mrs. Cecil (Sondra) Allison of Hookstown; a son, James E. Hayes of Chester; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Al (Judy) Mobley of East Liverpool; three sisters, Mrs. Richard (Bertha) Wolfe, Mrs. Mayme Johnson and Mrs. Samuel (Martha) Manypenny of Chester; two brothers, Wayne Hutton and Frank Hutton of Chester; 12 grandchildren and five great – grandsons. The Dawson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements which are incomplete.

Services are planned Wednesday for Mrs. Esther M. Reed of Louisiana Ave., Chester, who died Monday morning at City Hospital where she was taken after suffering an apparent heart attack earlier at home. The Rev. Dorcas Conrad of the Chester First United Methodist Church is to conduct the services at 1:30 p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home. Burial is to be in Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 tonight.
