Obituary – Samuel Reed

Samuel Reed, aged 73 years died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Phelps in Jethro, at 8 o’clock Saturday evening ( November 28, 1903) He had been in failing health for some time, and, owing to his advanced age, his death was not unexpected. The funeral services will be held at Mrs. Phelps’ home at 2:30 o’clock today. The body will be taken to Salineville on the 3:50 train for burial. The deceased is survived by seven children, four sons and three daughters. He was a good , kindhearted old gentleman who enjoyed the esteem of a large number of acquaintances.
