Allen E. Rich, 85, of Industry, died Monday evening, April 19, 1999, in the Medical Center, Beaver.
Born September 22, 1913 in Unity Township, Columbiana County, Ohio, a son of the late Harry S. and Inez B. Kerr Rich, he had been a resident of Industry most of his life. He was a self-employed contractor for over 60 years and was a member of the Four Mile United Presbyterian Church in Ohioville. He served in the 20th Air force on Guam in the Pacific Theater during World War II and was a member of the Glasgow Lodge 485 F&AM, Shippingport.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane C. Phillips Rich, on September 3, 1978; a son, Phillip Allen Rich in 1975; two brothers, Robert and Jack Rich, and a sister Kathryn Dever.
Surviving are two grandchildren, Phillip Allen Rich, Jr., and his wife Ruth Ann, Virginia Beach, VA and Pamela Rich and her fiancé, John Roby, Industry; three great grandsons, Martin P. and James A. Costanza and Noah C. Roby; a brother, Walter Rich, Zelienople; four sisters, Martha Rich in California and Laura Phillips, Alice Stear and Mildred Lang, all of Beaver Falls and his friend and former pastor, Dr. Ray A. McCreight, Ohioville.
Friends will be received today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the J.T. ANDERSON JR. AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 205 College Avenue, Beaver, where a funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with his pastor, the Rev. R. Martin Williams, officiating.
Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Industry.

Full military rites will be conducted by the Beaver County Special Unit.
