Jack R. Rich, 59, of Mercer Road, North Sewickley Township, died Saturday evening at Aliquippa Hospital where he had undergone surgery Thursday.
Born May 14, 1915 in New Waterford, Ohio, he was the son of the late Harry S. and Inez B. Kerr Rich. He lived most of his life in North Sewickley Township area.
He was a self-employed insurance broker for 20 years, and was active in scouting for 25 years. He was president of Beaver Falls Area Civil League for three years. Rich was a member of the Concord United Methodist Church, North Sewickley Township.
Surviving are his widow, Mildred Flasher Rich; three daughters, Mrs. Glen (Joyce) Douglass, Kimberling City, MO, Mrs. Charles (Joan) Adams, Salem, OH and Mrs. David (Sandra) Horinka, North Sewickley Township; six grandchildren; three brothers, Allen of Industry, Robert of Freedom and Walter of New Brighton; five sisters, Mrs. James (Kathryn) Dever of Industry, Mrs. Frank (Martha) Wright of Gridley California, Mrs. Kenneth (Laura) Phillips and Mrs. Earl (Alice) Stear both of Beaver Falls and Mrs. Donald (Mildred) Lang of Sandusky, Ohio.
Friends will be received at 7 p.m. today and all day Tuesday at A.D. Campbell Funeral Home, 14th Street and Eight Avenue, Beaver Falls.
