Obituary – Mrs. Julia Ryan
East Liverpool Tribune
While seated at the supper table with her son, John and partaking of the evening meal, Mrs. Julia Ryan, was stricken with heart trouble at her home, 249 Bradshaw avenue, at 1:30 o’clock yesterday afternoon ( October 23, 1905), dying almost instantly. The son hastily summoned, Dr. Hamilton but when he arrived the last spark of life had flickered out.
Mrs. Ryan was 75 years old and was born in Ireland. She made her home in this country for the last fifty years. She came to East Liverpool from Salineville 13 years ago, and this had been her home ever since. She was a devout member of the St. Aloysius church and when the infirmities of body would not prevent she attended divine worship regularly. She possessed many beautiful traits of Christian character which were daily exemplified in her life. She was loved as a parent and friend and all who knew her held her in the highest esteem.
The funeral arrangements will be announced tomorrow morning. Mrs. Ryan is survived by her sons, John and Edward Ryan, with whom she had made her home since the death of her husband some years ago.
