David Clark Thompson

David Clark Thompson, aged 82 years, died at his home in Smith’s Ferry, Tuesday, of grip. Deceased was known throughout the tree surrounding states as a prominent and successful man, and owned much property.

He was the son of William and Nellie Thompson. The early part of his life was spent around St. Clair. Surviving are four children by his first wife and five by his second wife. Deceased was a brother of Mrs. Mary J. Scroggs, of Beaver, and of the late Josiah Thompson, of this city, and John Thompson, of Calcutta. Mrs. Scroggs is now the only living survivor of the Thompson family, which was originally eight children. Mrs. Monroe Patterson of this city is a daughter of the deceased.
