SALINEVILLE -Mrs. Irma M. Thompson, 56, of RD, Salineville, died of complications at her home at 6:30 p.m. Monday (May 11, 1964) following a six-month illness.

Born Dec. 19, 1898, in East Liverpool, she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Famie Crumbley Baker. On Sept. 25, 1918, she married Elvy Thompson who survives.

A life resident of the area, she was a member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church for 50 years. She served as past president of the missionary society of the church and had also been active in home council and extension work in Columbiana County. She and her husband had a produce stall on the Pyatt St. Growers Market in Youngstown.

Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Wesley Springer of Cleveland; one son, Forrest of Kensington; one sister, Miss Margaret Baker of Lisbon; two brothers, Albert and Daniel of Cleveland; and three grandchildren. A sister, Grace, and an brother, Homer, preceded in death.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Maple Funeral Home in Kensington with Rev. Boyd S. Burd of Bethesda Church officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Salineville.

Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday afternoon and evening.
