EAST LIVERPOOL – Helen Timmons, 75, loving mother and grandmother of East Liverpool, passed away peacefully with her family at her side, Sunday, May 19, 2013, at East Liverpool City Hospital following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Jackson County, W.Va., on June 4, 1937, a daughter of the late George V. and Gladys V. (Balderson) Wilcox.
She was a loving mother to son Paul Mobley Jr. and his wife Diane of Phoenix, Ariz.; and her daughter Debbie Mobley Taylor and her husband Roger of Fort Mill, S.C.
She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Jodi Loy Adkins, Brent Loy and wife Heather, Kira Wagner and great-grandchildren, Nathan, Bailey, Wyatt and Abigail. They were the loves of her life.
Also surviving her are brothers: Charles Wilcox of West Virginia, Eugene Wilcox of Arkansas; and sisters, Rose Johnson of Oklahoma, Wanda Ours of Ohio, Wilma Brooks of Florida, and Mary Vermillion of Virginia.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by husband Allan “Al” Timmons in August of 2003; brothers Robert Wilcox, George Wilcox; and sister Virginia Wilcox.
In lieu of flowers, Helen requested donations be sent to a local charity of the senders choice.
A Memorial Service will be held on June 4 at 1 p.m. at the Pleasant Heights Baptist Church in East Liverpool by Pastor William Wagner. A fellowship luncheon will follow immediately after the service for family and friends.
The Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes is assisting with these arrangements.
