Jason Dean Tucker, 38, of Sandusky, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at his girl friend’s residence in Clyde.

He was born Feb. 14, 1974, in Sandusky, and was a graduate of San Jancinto High School in California. He was employed as a carpenter and was a member of Westside Baptist Church.

Jason is survived by his father, John Whyde Sr., of Sandusky; one sister, Christal Tucker; three brothers, Billy Whyde, John Whyde Jr., and Roger Dabney; maternal grandparents, Ned and Myrtle Tucker; paternal grandmother, Helen Dabney; his girl friend, Carrie Booney, and her two sons, Jake and Codey Booney; four nieces, Savanah Hartley, Tristin Pruitt, Rayven Elizabeth Whyde and Jailynn Greene; three nephews, Ryan Pruitt, Alex and Darren Dabney; and several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Whyde, in 2008; grandparents, Don and Darlene Whyde and Jack Dabney; uncle, Ken Lippert; and cousins, Jennifer Trapp and Cheryl Tucker.

Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, at Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Sat. Dec. 22. Burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family, in care of John Whyde Sr., 1708 Sunset Plaza Drive, Sandusky, OH 44870.
