Obituary – Mrs. William Welch

At her home, West Sixth street, Mrs. William Welch, aged 74 years, died at 5 o’clock Tuesday evening (October 24, 1911). She was born in Pittsburg in 1837 and came to this city when only seven weeks old. She was a member of the First M. E. church, having joined when 13 years of age. She had, but a short time ago, been elected to the seventeenth consecutive term as president of the Foreign Missionary society of the church.

Three children and five grandchildren and one brother survive. The children are: T. J. and James h. Welch, and Mrs. William Rowe, all of this city. The grandchildren are Mrs. Dewitt Irwin, Helen, Anna, and Mary Welch of East Liverpool, and Miss Pearl Welch of Pittsburg. The brother is Jno. Hague of East Liverpool. The late James Hague was also a brother. Her husband died five years ago.
