ARTHUR WERLING IS LAID TO REST
Victim of Drowning Accident Buried Thursday-Floral Tributes Many and Beautiful

Funeral services over the remains of the late William Arthur Werling, sixteen-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Werling, of Dry Run, who was drowned in the Ohio river Sunday, May 28, 1911 were held from the Free Methodist church of Oakland, yesterday. The body was found at 5 o’clock Tuesday morning about half a mile below where the accident occurred.

Besides his parents, deceased is survived by one brother and four sisters: Franklin Werling, Mrs. Minnie Mumaw, and Misses Lulu, Hazel and Alice Werling.

His friends and associates also the pottery workers and Sabbath school of the Free Methodist church showed their respect and sympathy by sending many beautiful floral offerings. His playmates were his pall bearers, and the services were conducted by Rev. T. D. McCleary, assisted by Rev. C. I. Schroeder. Among the hymns used were “Does Jesus Care,” “Asleep in Jesus” and “The Eastern Gate.”
