Lorena E. Wilber, 92, residing in Norwalk, passed away early Monday morning, Nov. 26, 2012, at Fisher-Titus Medical Center following a brief illness.
Lorena was born in Kimball, Ohio, on Aug. 13, 1920, to Frank and Cora Barber.
She was a 1938 graduate of Monroeville High School and worked for 20 plus years at the Falhaber’s Manufacturing Company. In her spare time, Lorena enjoyed puzzle books, watching television, and spending time with her family.
Lorena is survived by her children, Connie (Ron) Hovatter, of Norwalk, Lynne Barnhart, of Florida, Larry (Sara) Wilber, of Sandusky, and Charles (Rose) Wilber, of Norwalk; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and other relatives.
Including her parents, Lorena was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Wilber, in 1967; infant granddaughter, Cassandra; brothers, Leonard, Norman, and Alvin Barber; sister, Naomi Crawford; and son-in-law William Barnhart.
Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Groff Funeral Homes and Crematory 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
