SALINEVILLE- John W. Wilson. 66, of St. Rt. 164 died early Thursday morning at the East Liverpool City Hospital.

He was born Oct. 22, 1946, in East Liverpool, a son of the late Robert and Elizabeth Palmer Wilson.

John lived all his life in this area, graduated from Southern Local High School, and served in the United States Army in Thailand. He was Presbyterian by faith. He retired as an inspector from National Refractories. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and Harley Motorcycle riding. He was an ardent Steelers fan. He was a member of the American Legion John Adams Post 442 in Salineville, Ohio.

John will be missed by his companion off thirty plus years, Jean Culp; two daughters, Lisa Velasquez of Galveston, Texas, and Holly (Larry) Morris of Glen Rock, Pa.; one sister Janet Dowling of Salineville; three grandchildren, Victoria Wilson, Elizabeth Morris, and Matthew Morris all of Glen Rock, Pa. and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Wilson and a sister, Kristin Crawford.

A service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Kerr-Pastore Funeral Home in Salineville, Ohio with Pastor Ted Ludwig of the Bethel United Presbyterian Church officiating.

Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery in Wellsville, Ohio where full military honors will be accorded by the Salineville American Legion John Adams Post 442.

Family and friends make call at the Kerr-Pastore Funeral Home on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
