Mr. Gotlieb Woche

At 4 o’clock Saturday (October 31, 1903) afternoon the death angel visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Oschmann, 329 Walnut street, and took from the midst of friends the spirit of Mr. Gotlieb Woche, the father of Mrs. Oschmann. Deceased was aged 76 years and expired after a short illness brought on by a severe cold which finally resulted in hemorrhages.

Mr. Woche was born in Asch, Bohemia, and came to this country in 1866 and took up his residence at Pittsburg where he was employed for 23 years in the round house of the Pennsylvania company. He retired from his employment some years ago and a little over two years ago came to this city and took up his residence at the home of his son-in-law, Ferd. Oschmann, where he has since resided.

Deceased is survived by the follow, sons and daughters: Mrs. M. E. Schade, formerly of Pittsburg but now of this city, Mrs. F. Oschmann, of this city, and J. N. Woche of Swissdale, Pa., all of whom were at the bedside when death came.

Funeral services will be held a the Oschmann home this evening at 7:30 o’clock, the services being conducted by Rev. J. G. Reinartz, of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran church. The remains will be shipped for this city to Pittsburg, on the noon train Tuesday where interment will be made in the Minersville cemetery.
